ANOTHER GREAT DAY OUT - WEDNESDAY 28 JUNE 2023

A full minibus of 15 members of the Out & About Group set off in cooler weather for a trip around the coast to the west of Ilfracombe. Our first port of call was Fremington Quay where we discovered one of the Bears, part of the Children's Hospice South West fund-raising Bear Hunt. We had discovered 7 of them on a previous outing. We drove through Instow which is always popular and on to Westward Ho! where we had a short stop. Both places were busy with visitors. Our next port of call was Appledore, again with lots of people on the sea front. Our final destination was Durrant House Hotel where we had booked in for lunch. Here we found another of the bears. We enjoyed an excellent lunch and service, their £12.50 menu being extremely good value with plenty of choice of main course and dessert. We highly recommend it. We had a lovely trip around, thanks to our driver, Les.
